What is a worry stone?

Worry stones are a natural gemstone with a carved indented curve and are used to rub back and forth the relief stress, anxiety and tension.

The origins and concept of the worry stones are believed to have begun by the simple action of picking up a smooth stone and rubbing in in contemplation - eventually a groove would appear. Worry stones can also be made by the motion of the sea and ancient Greeks would often pick them from pebbled beaches and use them to play with - some would say they are the original fidget spinner! Native American tribes took a much more sentimental approach to worry stones and would hand their worry stones down from generation to generation to create a sense of connection from previous family members.

What does a worry stone do?

Worry Stones are believed to relief anxiety and relax the wearer. The relaxing motion of rubbing the gemstone between your fingers is believed to reduce stress, the repetitive motion can help to shift your focus in a similar way to a stress ball. Lapis Lazuli

Believed to encourage self-awareness, allows self-expression and reveals inner truth, providing qualities of honesty, compassion and morality to the personality. Stimulates objectivity, clarity and encourages creativity. Lapis Lazuli assists to confront and speak one's truth and inspires confidence.
